About me

My name is Sarah and I am currently studying for a PhD in ecology at Imperial College London’s Silwood Park Campus.  I work on the DIRECT project, looking at the effects of climate change on ecosystem functioning (e.g., carbon and nitrogen cycling).  Before starting my PhD I worked at the University of Nottingham, running the Science Outreach Project and was a Community Scientist for the OPAL project.  I have a masters degree in Environmental Science from the University of Nottingham and bachelors in Biology from Juniata College.  I grew up in Pennsylvania, but have been living in the UK for several years with my husband, Markus, and my cat, Fern.  All views expressed are my own.
